At the very outset let me on behalf of all the board members thank you for the faith and confidence you have reposed in us over the years.

We live in times of rapid change, which throw up both opportunities and challenges. Your bank was one of the last to be granted a licence by RBI in India. Since then the changing banking environment has led to shift in the focus of the Finance Ministry away from Co-operative Banking.

Today we are faced with restrictions in Branch Expansion, Capital Mobilisation, Lending, Fee based Income, ….. In fact we are curtailed in almost every aspect of the banking process vis-a-vis Commercial banks, but have to compete in same environment.
In addition the Finance Minister in this year budget has imposed taxation on Co-operatives Banks.

Despite these challenges by the Grace of God, your support and the hard work of the staff your Bank has turned in another sterling performance for the year.

This challenging environment calls for bold leadership and deep commitment in order to realise our goal of Economic upliftment for each and every member of our community.
